Norman K. Risjord is a retired professor of history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a prize-winning teacher whose classroom lectures on American history were frequently broadcast on Wisconsin Public Radio. He is the author of numerous books, including high school and college texts, and most recently, a popular biography of Thomas Jefferson. He lives on a farm in Richland County.
