Rowe Pottery Works

Nestled in the town of Cambridge, Wisconsin is the Rowe Pottery Works. Established in 1975, this family-owned company creates accurate replicas of popular historical styles in pottery. Using a technique that originally was created in Germany around the 12th century, the handcrafted items are formed by slowly increasing the heat of their large kiln to 2000 degrees, then shooting in salt and rapidly reducing the temperature, giving the finished products a slight, beautiful gleam. The Rowe Pottery Works warmly offer any customers or other curious patrons to visit on Saturdays, and observe the pottery being formed.
