The 2010 Rowe Pottery Historical Collection

This new five-piece collection from Rowe Pottery evokes the memory of unpretentious simpler times. These memories permeate your senses bringing you to the focal point of the home, the kitchen and the family meal. It's only fitting that the 2010 Rowe Pottery Historical Collection revolves around the kitchen and consists of pieces used for storage and baking functions. The locality and period these pieces were first recognized was on the East Coast, primarily New York, New Jersey and Ohio in the mid to late 1800's. Despite the changing times and priorities, many of these pieces have transcended into today's trends and design magazines as collectible pieces used to accessorize the home. In today's household there are now faster methods for storing and baking food, but there is something to be said about the nostalgia and quality of these pieces, and the importance of still bringing family together in the kitchen.

This year's collection pays particularly close attention to historical detail in the designs. There are simple cut bands common to the period and the incised cuts around the floral designs add detail to the patterns. Choose from the Reserve Jar, Wine Fountain, Handled Baking Dish, Yelloware Butter Crock, Turks Head Mold or get the entire five-piece set.
